Top Tips To Choosing Your Property Management Service

December 8, 2017

So, you have toyed with the idea of using a Property Management Company for your portfolio and business needs but now you need to find a company that suits your needs.

Here are my top 4 tips for choosing a property management service:

1. Choose wisely

Your property manager could be a very useful part of your business portfolio who can help on many levels of your business including tenant suitability, handling disputes and a whole range of other useful skills.

2. Research

Again, following on from the point above research the agent.  Each agent or company will have their own unique outlook on the property market and you may find someone that has the same business values.

3. Communication is key

There's no doubt about it, if you cannot communicate with your agent then it is not going to work.  Building a relationship is important for you but more importantly for your portfolio.  You will be safe in the knowledge that you can trust your agent to treat your business correctly.

4. Ask about experience and competence

Don’t be afraid to ask. Experience is essential to the well being of your business and future management.  An in-depth knowledge of the area, the rental yields and smaller things like reliable tradesmen will make your business run smoother and be stress-free.

I've designed my business to ensure customer service levels are met and exceeded at all times.  This may seem like an obvious requirement, but from experience, it's one that's often overlooked by many service providers - which is a real shame.

If  you haven’t decided who to outsource your property management to or are keen to find out more about how my business could help you, then I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you for a discussion.
